So What About Obama’s Pastor?

I’m not the conspiracy believing type of person but this whole wacky Rev. Wright show we’ve been watching the past couple of days seems more than strange. Is it planned? Isn’t this the best way to separate Obama from his pastor? Think about it, the whole thing is quite ingenious. If Rev. Wright just acts like this total loony and makes everyone think that he now hates Obama and wants to destroy his presidential hopes, wouldn’t that make people feel kind of bad for Obama and put a HUGE separation between the two? Rev. Wright is supposed to be a smart guy, Obama is a smart guy, they had a close relationship, now Rev. Wright suddenly becomes Obama’s #1 enemy? Obama could very well be the first African American president, why on earth would Rev. Wright, especially Rev. Wright, want to derail that possibility? He’s THAT hurt by Obama condemning his controversial remarks? Obama wasn’t that hard on Rev. Wright, he didn’t disown him, he didn’t say he was a bad guy, there’s no reason for Rev. Wright to be this angry at Obama. I could understand his anger towards the media but not Obama.

Maybe Rev. Wright is a total nutcase and I’m off my rocker but isn’t this all kind of fishy. Isn’t it?

I listened to the Bill Moyers interview and I was pretty impressed with Wright, then I listened to NAACP speech, then to the Press club speech from beginning to end and to be honest I didn’t think any of them were that terrible. I kinda thought Wright was funny and was thinking his open talking might diffuse things….Oh well shows how much I know.

Obviously even Obama thought different than me!!

When I say funny one of the things I am talking about his description of the Michigan band and Florida band – true and funny.

Also hearing all the good the his church was/is doing in the Southside – I would have certainly given him EVERY benefit of the doubt before condemning him.

Well, Sue that’s one way of looking at things! Maybe Rev. Wright was just trying to be funny but just has really poor comedic skills. The Bill Moyers interview was a “softer, gentler” version of Wright but his other recent public appearances have made him look like a total moron. Even Obama said Wright is playing up to the characture that the media had made him out to be. Michelle Obama looks like she’s ready to strangle Rev. Wright. She didn’t look too happy yesterday – can’t say that I blame her. What all these candidates (and their families) have to go through in these campaigns has got to be grueling!

Next Tuesday I guess we’ll all know better how all this has played out…

Yes and I am ready – this is getting tiring. Oh course you know I’m a big Obama supporter but I actually always liked Hillary and Bill so I won’t have a hard time voting Dem no matter who wins. I really feel lucky to have such a great choice this year! The funny thing is even McCain is someone who I could have crossed over for had the Dems not had such good choices. I have always respected him too.
